HAZELNUT HELLFIRE IN A MOUTHFUL

This is The Fastest Recipe Ever Invented:

350G 70% Chocolate
190g Butter

6 Eggs
2 Tbsp Strong Coffee
2 Tbsp Brandy/Whiskey
1 Cup Brown Sugar

1 Cup Toasted then Ground Hazelnuts

So melt the Chocolate and the Butter together in a bowl over a pot of water

Mix your Eggs, Coffee, Liquor and Sugar - just to blend them, there’s no lightening up of the eggs necessary

Add the Egg mixture to your Chocolate mixture

Then fold in your Hazelnuts

Pour this into a well lined cake tin*, place this in a baking dish and fill the dish with hot water to at least half way up the side of the cake tin.

Place a sheet of foil loosely on top of the cake tin.

Bake at 180 degrees Celsius for 1hr 15 minutes.


* The reason it needs to be well lined is because it’s sitting in water and you don’t want the water getting in to the cake. I use silicon paper, greaseproof baking paper should work and then for added safety line the bottom outside of the tin with a double layer of foil.

It’s an easy cake but all this ‘lining’ business drags it out a bit.
